Susan and Pat Jordan have been fans of Haitian art for many years. It has inspired them to continue the colors off the canvas and use their home as a palate. This upbeat environment encourages continued creativity for the published couple.

VICTORIA PARK HOUSE FOR SALE

haitianart.com

Pat and Susan are planning to sell their historic 1926 Key West bungalow in the quaint Victoria Park neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The house is less than two miles from beautiful Fort Lauderdale beach, one mile from the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale and Las Olas Boulevard’s trendy shops and restaurants, five miles from Fort Lauderdale International airport and 30 miles from Miami and Miami Beach.

They are moving to South Carolina where Pat will become Writer-in-Residence at an area college.

Therefore they’re putting their house up for a private sale for $489,000 on this website for any viewers who have admired it. It is a historically designated home, totally renovated, with a new metal roof and insulation. It retains all its original woodwork, hardware, cast iron claw foot tub and working gas fireplace. The backyard has been extensively landscaped to resemble a rain forest complete with three tiers of wooden decking and a covered pergola. There is a totally restored single car garage with matching metal roof.

The house has been featured in the Miami Herald and This Old House Magazine as a unique example of early South Florida architecture. It has also been declared architecturally significant by the state of Florida. The wood frame bungalow has been artistically painted to match the colors of the Haitian art they have been collecting for years. In particular, the kitchen cabinets have been painted with scenes of jungle animals and parrots by the renowned Haitian artist, Louis Rosemond. This house is unique. If you want to live in your own distinctive artwork, contact Pat & Susan for further details at susanrjordan@bellsouth.net.

The Jordan's home is currently listed by Kathleen "Kat" Moore of Intercoastal Realty, Inc. You can reach her on her cell phone (954-205-9115) or at the office (954-467-1448).
