Haiti has a talented base of contemporary
artists. Men and women with a fine art background producing wonderful works
with a Haitian flavor. Some might argue the merits of primitive verses modern,
but as the late Bernard Sejourne once said, "We are all Haitian artists
and everyone has something to add."
We have Estate/Modern works that are consigned to us from private collections,
everything from Hyppolite to Sejourne. Over the years some quite spectacular
works have passed this way. For an update on our estate consignments contact
us at: haitian@flight.net
Artists that are of the Modern
school are:
Jacques E. Gourgue, Jean-Claude Legegneur, Bernard Wah, Ludovic Booz,
Wilfred Daleus, Jean-Felix Defournoy, Simeon Michel, Roland Bigaud, and
Claude Dambreville. |
