Description:
Excuisite oil of a mountain villiage bustling with activity. This renowned artist is a master at capturing the moment in minature detail. This painting has some yellowing of the varnish but it otherwise a rare gem. Born in Port-au-Prince on March 3,1941, Since his childhold Casimir was attracted to the arts. He started to draw very early and, in 1961,enrolled in the Port-au-Prince School of Arts. He worked with the the SNEM (National Service for the Eradication of Malaria) and also owned a hair salon but always painted. He seriously returned to painting in 1974 at the instigation of Ludovic Booz, Casimir specialized in the painting of historic subjects and documenting scenes of rural life before. He no longer paints large pieces, his choice now is a smaller canvas.
