Description:
Brilliant colors used in this Eden setting. A zebra munches on local fauna. Born in 1950 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Polycarpe was a professor of mathematics before taking up painting. He is best known for his naive jungle animals in vibrant colors. His first two paintings were selected by Jean Marie Drot and Andre Malraux for two exhibitions in Paris and Auxerre. His paintings were auctioned at Parke Bernet in New York in 1975. They are sold in galleries in France, Germany, Italy, the United States, and the Caribbean. #hatianart #zebra
